Our Story

The Akimori Story

Perfection is our nature, quality is our signature, and tradition is in our blood. AKIMORI is the result of hand selected fish from all over the world, a rice recipe mastered to perfection, and the freshest ingredients we can get our hands on. As our guest, we hope you journey with us to enjoy the flavors of traditional Japanese Sushi, from our hands to yours.

Our Brooklyn location opened in 2022, with the vision of bringing high-end Omakase to the kosher world. Omakase, which means “I leave it to you” in Japanese, is an authentic dining experience where guests leave themselves in the hands of a master chef and receive a meal which is elegant, seasonal, artistic and made with the finest and freshest ingredients available. Each course is handcrafted in front of the guest, in an interactive dining experience unlike any other.

We only offer our Omakase experience at our Brooklyn location. We offer a full take-out and delivery menu from our Brooklyn location as well as from our seasonal summer location in Deal, NJ, to bring our quality sushi to your home.

We also offer a variety of catering services. We can bring our renown chefs to your next event for an interactive at-home Omakase experience or we can provide a buffet-style Sushi bar at your next party. More on our catering services here
